Nestled in Wantagh, New York, Simply Greekalicious is a vibrant, family-owned Greek restaurant that brings the heart of the Mediterranean to Long Island. Owned by Maria and Spiro Ploumes, we’ve been proudly serving authentic Greek cuisine since opening our doors, creating a welcoming spot where traditional recipes meet fresh, flavorful ingredients and warm community spirit. 

 

Our name says it all: Simply Greekalicious. We focus on the classics done right—think juicy lamb and beef gyros piled with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and house-made tzatziki; tender chicken souvlaki platters or sandwiches; golden, flaky spanakopita fresh from the oven; hearty moussaka and so much more.

 

What sets us apart is our commitment to authenticity and simplicity. Every dish is prepared with care using time-honored family recipes, quality meats, and fresh produce—no shortcuts, just the bold, sunny flavors of Greece. We’re more than a restaurant: we provide full catering for events big and small, and our sister food truck, Greek On The Go, takes our authentic fare on the road for festivals, offices, and neighborhood stops. 

 

As active members of the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce, we love being part of this community. We’ve been spotlighted by the Town of Hempstead for our small-business spirit and proudly support local PTAs, fundraisers, and causes.
